Introduction

Akshar Management Consultant recently marked a successful 9-year journey with Shiva Performance Materials Pvt. Ltd. During this milestone collaboration, our team was invited to conduct a comprehensive IMS Third Party Audit. This audit aimed to verify the organization’s alignment with ISO standards 9001, 14001 & 45001, assess existing documentation, and evaluate risk assessments, ranging from quality to occupational health and environmental impact. Our continued association reflects trust, progress, and commitment to sustained compliance.

Thorough Internal Audit Spanning Three Days

From July 2 to July 5, 2025, our experts conducted an intensive three-day internal audit. Unlike a generic overview, this audit explored each department, from administration and procurement to production and dispatch. Importantly, every functional team was actively engaged in the assessment process.

We reviewed all major ISO documentation. The scope included quality risk assessments, hazard identification, occupational health and safety (OHS) risk evaluations, and environmental aspect-impact analyses. These activities helped spotlight strengths, recognize blind spots, and build action plans for better risk control.

Rigorous IMS Internal Audit

The third-party audit followed closely after the internal checks. Our audit team, equipped with deep technical and compliance knowledge, carried out a detailed site tour. They carefully observed processes, layouts, emergency arrangements, and workflow compliance. The tour revealed a remarkably well-maintained site, although a few opportunities for improvement also emerged.

Rather than working in silos, we collaborated closely with department heads. Our observations were shared, discussed, and jointly reviewed with cross-functional teams. This open dialogue helped create ownership and fostered quick decision-making.

Productive Closure Meeting & Commendation

The final day concluded with a closure meeting. Here, all key findings, suggestions, and best practices were discussed openly. Management, department heads, and staff were present to absorb the learnings.
