Hindalco Industries Limited, through Birla Copper, has set up a mega Greenfield Copper Smelting and Refining complex at Dahej in Bharuch district of Gujarat, INDIA. The plant with an investment of Rs. 25,000 in Millions, Produces world class copper cathodes, continuous cast copper Rods & Precious Metals. Apart from Copper products, Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Di-Ammonium Phosphate and other Phosphatic Fertilizers are also produced. The plant has its own Power Plant and Jetty to meet its infrastructure requirement.
Akshar Management Consultant has provided services for ISO Certification Consultancy. The team was leaded by Mr. Madhukar Vasa who has extensive experience of identifying energy saving opportunities.
The assignment started with gap audit for EnMS (ISO 50001:2011) and subsequently formation of energy team, energy policy and ISO awareness training. Akshar Management Consultant has identified energy saving opportunity from various operational control losses and some are relevant to investment with energy efficient equipment. Hindalco Industries Ltd is now Certified for ISO 50001:2011.
Team headed with Mr. Vasa comleted this assignment in just 3 months including internal auditor training (ISO Training).
Birla Copper unit has been audited Intertek and certified.
